Key Responsibilities
- Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials necessary to maintain the drilling operations.
- Handle drill rods and casing, core tubes and core samples.
- Maintain and organize appropriate inventory levels of necessary materials, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
- Assist the Driller, client and other team members where required.
- Regular and repetitive lifts of 50-90 lbs.
- Safely operate Class 1 truck and trailer units (lowbeds, flatbeds, or specialized trailers) to transport drill rigs, support vehicles, tooling, fuel, and materials to/from job sites.
- Filling out appropriate paperwork including inspections and logbooks
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Must maintain and possess a valid Class 1 Driver's Licence.
- Have 1-3 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset.
- Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment an asset.
- Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
- Have experience working in the field, in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Strong knowledge of the NSC and documentation including the use of logbooks
Compensation
$31.00 - $32.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
