Director of Power Services
Job Description
The Director, Power Services is the senior divisional leader with full P&L ownership for the Power Services division, including Engineering Services and Technical Services across Utility, Industrial, and Commercial markets.
This role is accountable for revenue growth, margin performance, EBITDA delivery, recurring revenue expansion, safety, and customer strategy. The Director operates as the General Manager of the division and is responsible for scaling the services platform in alignment with the company's integrated lifecycle model:
Build → Equip → Maintain → Expand
The Director partners closely with the Directors of Power Construction and Power Equipment to convert installed assets into long-term recurring service relationships and enterprise value.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Competitive salary range: $150,000 – $190,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and technical expertise

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own full divisional P&L performance, including revenue growth, gross margin, EBITDA, backlog quality, and recurring revenue expansion
- Develop and execute the divisional Strategic Plan aligned with corporate growth objectives and market expansion into Industrial and Commercial sectors
- Lead and hold accountable the Services leadership team, including Operations and Business Development, ensuring safe, predictable, and high-quality execution
- Drive disciplined pricing, risk management, and contract oversight, ensuring margin integrity and commercial rigor
- Convert completed construction projects and installed equipment into long-term maintenance agreements and lifecycle service contracts
- Lead Business Development strategy for Services, expanding customer penetration while reducing customer concentration risk
- Partners with leaders across all lines of business to align capabilities and structure bundled service agreements that enhance competitiveness, drive revenue growth, and deliver integrated solutions to clients.
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings, increase recurring revenue, and strengthen market position.
- Partner with Proposal Management, Estimating, and Operations to pursue executable, margin-accretive opportunities
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards
- Build a scalable service organization through talent development, workforce planning, and succession strategy
- Foster enterprise collaboration, ensuring service capabilities are integrated into construction bids and equipment offerings
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Minimum 10 years progressive leadership experience in electrical, power services, or infrastructure services environments
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Demonstrated direct P&L ownership and successful EBITDA delivery
- Strong financial acumen including forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and margin management
- Experience leading engineering and/or technical services organizations
- Deep understanding of contract management, change management, and commercial risk
- Proven ability to scale recurring service revenue models
- Strong leadership presence with ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience in union and/or non-union service environments an asset
