<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with UVI’s mission and goals.</li>
<li>Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and retention for faculty and staff.</li>
<li>Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.</li>
<li>Lead performance management, training, and professional development initiatives.</li>
<li>Advise senior leadership on employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with federal and Virgin Islands labor laws and university policies.</li>
<li>Foster a workplace culture of respect, integrity, and collaboration.</li>
<li>Oversee HR systems and maintain accurate, confidential personnel records.</li>
<li>Direct executive recruitment for senior and specialized roles.</li>
<li>Ensure Banner and PeopleAdmin are properly configured to support HR workflows like recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.</li>
<li>Support organizational design, succession planning, and workforce development.</li>
<li>Implement validation rules and audit processes to minimize errors in employee records.</li>
<li>Regularly review and clean data to maintain integrity across systems.</li>
<li>Use analytics to track KPIs such as time‑to‑hire, turnover rates, and compensation benchmarks.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Required Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.</li>
<li>Professional HR certification required.</li>
<li>Minimum of 8–10 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.</li>
<li>Proficiency in HR information systems.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in higher education.</li>
<li>Doctorate preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with Banner or similar ERP system.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Physical Demands</h3>
<ul>
<li>Must be able to travel for meetings, conferences, and training.</li>
