We are looking for an enthusiastic & experienced Director of Fitness & Membership to manage the daily operations of membership services & lead the development, execution, & oversight of all health & fitness programs at our new facility in Moose Jaw.
Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with Y Way service standards, oversee membership sign-ups, sales, & reporting, and ensure smooth daily operations of the fitness center, including equipment maintenance & safety.
- Develop & meet sales goals for member growth & retention, and collaborate on membership sales & marketing strategies, including corporate membership expansion.
- Oversee Health & Wellness, Group Fitness programs, and volunteer engagement activities, ensuring certifications are up to date.
- Recruit, train, supervise, & schedule employees in Membership Services & Fitness.
- Ensure the safety of members, staff, and property by adhering to YMCA standards.
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Kinesiology, Health Education, 3-5 years of experience in health and fitness programming, and 2 years in management.
- Current CSEP-CPT, CanFitPro, or YMCA Personal Training certification is required.
- Current Group Fitness Certification (SPRA, CanFitPro, NASM, ACE, or YMCA group certification).
- Ability to handle medical emergencies, work evenings & weekends, and lead moderate to high-intensity fitness classes.
- Experience with CRM systems (ActiveNet) & scheduling platforms.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-Level C
- Clear criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Search
