Job Description

Director, Business Development | Regina HoopLife

You must apply through our website in order to be considered for the position: https://www.hooplifebasketball.com/careers/sales-associate

Location: Regina, SK (In-Person at HoopLife Regina)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior

Compensation: Base + Commission (Estimated $80K–160K+ with bonuses and recurring accounts)

HoopLife Basketball Inc. is a high-performance sports company building confidence and success in youth through basketball. With elite training centers, World‑wide camps and clinics, a fast‑growing app, apparel, and strong community presence, we are scaling with discipline and long‑term vision.

Colossians 3:23

"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."

HoopLife teaches and leads from a Christian perspective. Biblical principles shape our culture, leadership, and mission. We are seeking team members who align with that foundation and want their work to reflect their faith.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time, in-person role based at HoopLife Regina.

You have three primary objectives:

  • Sell and grow programs, camps, and memberships directly to families.

  • Build and close corporate partnerships and sponsorships with local businesses.

  • Manage Regina sales reps and employees.

You will work face‑to‑face with parents, athletes, and business leaders.

You will sell inside the gym and in boardrooms.

You will build recurring revenue on both sides.

This is relationship‑driven sales inside the Regina community.

Objective 1: Family & Program Sales

You will:

  • Meet directly with parents at HoopLife Regina

  • Sell memberships, camps, leagues, and year‑round programming

  • Build long‑term relationships with families

  • Own the full sales cycle: lead → meeting → close → follow‑up

  • Deliver an 11/10 client experience

  • Be present inside the gym and visible to the community

You are enrolling families into a long‑term development pathway.

You will also coach one day per week (basketball or strength training) to stay connected to the product you sell.

Objective 2: Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships

You will:

  • Prospect and meet with local Regina businesses

  • Present sponsorship and partnership opportunities

  • Sell four‑figure local sponsorships up to larger long‑term contracts

  • Build a recurring book of corporate accounts

  • Represent HoopLife professionally in the community

This is partnership building, not transactional selling.

You are helping companies align their brand with youth development and community impact.

Objective 3: Sales Leadership & Team Management

You will:

  • Oversee Assistant Directors’ daily sales activity and call performance

  • Track weekly call targets, meeting volume, and close rates

  • Hold weekly accountability meetings and pipeline reviews

  • Provide call coaching and live training sessions

  • Improve scripts, follow‑up systems, and sales process

  • Ensure high call value — quality conversations, not just volume

  • Report performance metrics to leadership

As growth demands, you will:

  • Help recruit and hire additional sales reps

  • Onboard and train new team members

  • Build a disciplined, high‑performance sales culture

Who You Are

  • Proven in sales — you have closed before

  • Comfortable meeting parents and CEOs

  • Strong communicator in person

  • Organized and disciplined with follow‑up

  • Comfortable asking for the sale

  • Humble and coachable

  • Long‑term minded — you want to build a book of business

Basketball knowledge helps.

Sales ability matters more.

Why HoopLife

  • Base + commission with strong upside

  • Immediate income from existing accounts

  • 4 weeks vacation

  • In‑person community environment

  • Direct mentorship from leadership

  • Ability to build recurring revenue

  • Mission‑driven culture

You see the impact of your work daily.

Future Growth Within the Organization

  • As HoopLife continues to expand nationally and Citrus and Unshakeable Sports Ministry grow alongside it, this role offers long‑term leadership opportunities across sales, partnerships, operations, and executive management. High performers will have the ability to step into expanded regional responsibility, lead new market launches, oversee larger revenue portfolios, and grow with multiple companies under one mission‑driven umbrella.

KPI‑Driven Role

  • This is a performance‑based, KPI‑driven role. You will be measured on revenue generated, memberships closed, partnership contracts secured, renewal rates, follow‑up discipline, and overall pipeline growth. Clear targets, scoreboards, and accountability structure the role to reward execution, consistency, and results.

Recurring Revenue & Book of Business

  • You will build a recurring book of business through annual membership renewals, multi‑season program enrollments, and year‑over‑year corporate sponsorship agreements. As relationships compound, renewals generate predictable recurring income, increasing your commission base annually and creating long‑term earning leverage through retention and expansion of accounts.

Building & Scaling Business Development

  • You will play a central role in growing and structuring the business development arm of the HoopLife location. As revenue expands, you will help build systems, train future sales staff, and develop scalable partnership processes. At the right timing, and in strategic alignment with HoopLife Headquarters, you will assist in recruiting, training, and leading additional team members to expand local business development capacity. This is a core growth priority tied directly to the long‑term scale of the location.
