Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role involves working with various types of machinery, including farm equipment, industrial vehicles, and construction machinery. The Diesel Mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our fleet and equipment. We are a Pavement Markings Company with alot of Cube Vans and Paint Trucks .
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting using schematics and electrical testing tools
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to complete repairs
- Operate or assist with the operation of heavy machinery and industrial equipment as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of mechanical components for repair or replacement
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair needs and timelines
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, industrial equipment, HVAC systems, welding, and electrical systems
- Experience working with schematics for troubleshooting electrical issues
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills for effective communication with clients or team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.31-$49.06 per hour
