
Coast 2000 Terminals
ABOUT US: Coast2000 Terminals is Western Canada’s largest, integrated logistics facility, linking cargo moved by rail, barge and truck with global markets. Coast2000 is a Western IntermodeX Enterprise. Western IntermodeX is seeking a Depot Coordinator to join our Depot team. The full-time position is based out of our Coast 2000 office in Richmond.
PURPOSE: The Depot Coordinator has the primary responsibility of processing and coordinating container movement through the terminal and maintaining inventory for stakeholders for Coast 2000 Terminals. The position utilizes two-way radio to direct the workforce accordingly with various clerical duties to support the Supervisor, Depot Operations, and the Management Team. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: Coordinate in-gate/out-gate container transactions at an accurate and efficient pace into the CYMS operating system and Microsoft Excel. Coordinate terminal transactions and dispatches using appropriate equipment (i.e. 2-way radios and headset).
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and staff in order to fulfill stakeholder needs. Verify containers through the use of stakeholder websites and/or email support. Assist and aide drivers with paperwork and coordinate solutions for issues at the time of out-gate. Daily communication with stakeholders regarding inventories and any damaged equipment.
Answer incoming stakeholder queries and liaise communication and feedback appropriately. Perform stakeholder verifications through set customer web portals. Coordinate incoming telecommunications and direct them to the correct department in a timely manner. Maintain and file all records in accordance with company procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge Minimum Grade 12 diploma required accompanied by ongoing courses that support administrative duties. Previous office experience, particularly in a logistics environment, is preferred. Proficiency in English is required. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).

Ability to take and execute instructions from superiors. Ability to work variable shifts from Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday shift, hours alternating through the week with morning and afternoon shifts. (Hours may be extended based on stakeholder demand).
