Our dental practice is seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to manage front desk operations and support daily administrative functions. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient office workflow and maintaining a professional and organized reception area.
The Dental Receptionist is a key member of the team and works closely with clinical staff to support patient scheduling, communication, billing, and overall office coordination.
Key Responsibilities
· Warmly greet and check in patients, creating a positive first impression
· Manage a multi-line phone system: schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls
· Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments to optimize daily flow
· Verify insurance information and process electronic claims submissions
· Accurately enter and update patient records in electronic medical records systems
· Work with dental software AbelDent
· Process payments, support billing, and manage insurance claims
· Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with confidentiality guidelines
· Coordinate closely with clinical staff to support seamless patient care
· Keep the reception area professional, clean, and welcoming
What We're Looking For
· Some experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred
· Some knowledge of dental terminology, insurance procedures, and billing processes is required
· Proficiency with AbelDent dental management software
· Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
· High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
· Professional, reliable, and patient-focused attitude
· Experience handling confidential information with discretion
