Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations(20 to 40 deliveries /day)This role requires excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering products on time and in good condition ( calgary to medicine hat )
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance on the delivery vehicle when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in automotive repair situations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
