Akkodis is partnered with a leading investment management firm to recruit a Cyber & Technology Risk Management Associate to join a growing Information Security & Risk management team here in Toronto.
As a Cyber & Technology Risk Management Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of information security risk assessments and control reviews for the company’s in-house and third-party applications and systems. Reporting to the Director, Cyber & Technology Risk, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments of third-party engagements and vendor controls.
- Review contracts to ensure data security terms are included.
- Perform risk assessments on critical systems, applications, and networks.
- Collaborate with business and security architecture teams.
- Lead and support cyber and technology projects.
- Maintain partnerships across Technology & Operations, Operational Risk, and Audit teams.
The Ideal candidate will have a combination of the following skill set:
- 3+ years of experience in information security &/or third-party risk management
- Expereince performing third-party risk assessments and IT security reviews
- Knowledge of various systems and architecture domains (such as Cloud, Data protection, Network Security, Authentication, Encryption, application security, etc.) & aiding in the implementation of controls.
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies for risk assessment and audit.
- Knowledge of various security standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO, SOC, COBIT, OWASP, etc.
- Prior experience at a financial institution, investment company, or other large industry or public sector organization (insurance or similar).
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Technology.
- Certifications in systems and architecture security and risk management preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC).
