This is an on‑site position and remote work is not available at this time.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in information security or IT infrastructure across multi‑site enterprise environments.

  • Hands‑on experience with security platforms such as Microsoft Defender suite, Palo Alto Cortex/XSOAR, Microsoft Purview, or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience managing cloud security in Azure, M365, and SaaS environments.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with MDR/SOC teams and managed security service providers.

  • Experience developing or maintaining incident response playbooks and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of privacy legislation (PIPEDA, BC PIPA) and its intersection with information security.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical issues to diverse audiences.

We value diversity at Tolko and know that experience and knowledge comes in many forms. Even if you don't have all the qualifications above, please apply. We would love to hear your story and have you grow with us.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, triage, and respond to security events across hybrid events.

  • Resolve security incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and driving remediation to closure.

  • Develop, maintain, and exercise incident response playbooks aligned with the NIST Incident Response lifecycle.

  • Contribute to cyber‑resilience initiatives including backup validation, BC/DR planning, and incident preparedness exercises.

  • Evaluate and integrate security technologies to address evolving threats and business requirements.

  • Deliver security awareness guidance and education to employees across the organization.

  • Build effective working relationships with IT teams, business units, and external partners.

Benefits

  • You’ll take on an exciting new challenge with supportive team members.

  • You will be eligible to participate in Tolko’s bonus program.

  • You’ll be eligible for excellent benefits, so you don’t have to choose between your bottom line and your wellbeing or your future.

  • You may also be eligible for relocation support including community connections so you can live (and play) where you work.

  • You’ll be supported in continued development through on‑the‑job and classroom training and reimbursement of tuition and membership fees.

  • You’ll be part of a positive, innovative, and inclusive work environment.
