Job Description
Fol Epi Bakery is an artisan, organic bakery seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean, food-safe, and well-functioning production facility.
This is a hands-on role combining sanitation, pest control, preventative maintenance, and team support. The core working hours of 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm are required, with total weekly hours ranging from part-time to full-time depending on the candidate.
Please note: This position is not suitable for individuals with flour or wheat allergies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
- Clean and maintain the mill room
- Dishwashing and oversight of dish areas
- Thoroughly vacuum and carefully mop delicate wood floors daily
- Perform routine deep-cleaning (drains, vents, refrigeration components)
- Exterior cleaning of patio and grain silo areas
- Set, monitor, and document pest traps
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
- Support and guide other janitorial team members
- Weekly email communication with owners and bakery managers
Qualifications
- Reliable, organized, and detail-driven
- Comfortable working independently
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Experience in janitorial, sanitation, pest control, facilities, or maintenance work preferred
