Job Title: Crew Member – Firehouse Subs (Guelph Location)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: Starting at $17.80-$18.00/hour depends on work and experience

Expected Hours: 24-35 hours per week (additional hours available based on performance)

Firehouse Subs, founded by real firefighters, is known for its hearty, flavor-packed subs and welcoming team environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Crew Member to join our Guelph location. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, dependable, and eager to contribute in a fast-paced food service environment.

As a Crew Member, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and delivering exceptional customer service. If you're passionate about food and committed to excellence, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation:
• Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Slice meats and vegetables as needed, ensuring freshness and consistency.
• Complete daily prep work, including meat and veggie preparation.
• Customer Service:
• Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to all customers.
• Upsell menu items when appropriate to enhance the customer experience.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for order entry and payment processing.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness:
• Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas, dining room, washrooms, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and labeling.
• Handle dishwashing and regular cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, etc.).
• Teamwork & Time Management:
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Stay organized and manage tasks efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Assist with inventory checks and notify management of low stock.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in food service or customer service is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems are an asset.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to undergo training (3-hour shifts).
• Long-term commitment is required.

Schedule Information:

• Morning Shift: Starts at 9:00 AM-9:30 AM to 2 or 3PM, or 11:00 AM to 4pm or 5pm
• Thursday, Friday and Weekend availability is mandatory
• Holiday availability is required
