<p><b>Contract & Equipment Procurement Specialist</b></p><p><b>Red Deer, AB OR Calgary, AB OR Sarnia, ON</b></p><p> </p><p><b>Introduction</b></p><p>Our client is seeking a temporary Contract & Equipment Procurement Specialist to support their Technical Procurement team. This role is accountable for both contract formation/administration and equipment procurement for major capital projects. The successful candidate will manage the full procurement lifecycle for services and equipment, ensuring compliance, value, and risk mitigation across multiple projects.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead the Bid, Evaluate, and Award (BEA) cycle for service and equipment contracts.</li><li>Draft, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and interagency agreements.</li><li>Develop and execute contract and procurement strategies, including market assessments and acquisition plans.</li><li>Facilitate RFPs, Invitations to Bid, and direct negotiations for equipment purchases.</li><li>Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Project Controls, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.</li><li>Review and approve invoices, ensuring compliance with contract terms.</li><li>Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews and issue resolution.</li><li>Participate in project meetings, providing procurement expertise and documentation.</li><li>Maintain change order logs and support evaluation of change requests.</li><li>Mentor junior procurement staff as required.</li><li>Support project close-out and documentation for all procurement activities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li>University degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (preferred).</li><li>7+ years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 3 years in equipment purchasing and contract formation for capital projects.</li><li>Professional certification (e.g., SCMP, CPSM) is an asset.</li><li>Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and equipment sourcing.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.</li><li>Proficiency in SAP/Ariba, Icertis, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What We Offer</b></p><p>Why work with Brunel?
