Job Description
Purpose
The Commercial Manager – Canada supports the effective execution of commercial strategy across the region by providing pricing, contract, governance, and financial oversight.
Working in close partnership with Sales, Services, Finance, and Legal, this role ensures commercial agreements are well-structured, compliant, and aligned with Orion Health’s financial and risk frameworks. The role balances commercial rigour with enabling business growth.

Key Relationships
Internal: Regional Leadership Team, Corporate Finance, Legal, Executive Leadership, Commercial Team, Lines of Business, Project Managers and other regional leaders.
External: Customers, procurement teams, and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Support & Deal Governance
- Partner with Regional Sales to support execution of commercial plans and KPIs.
- Provide commercial input into bids, renewals, and contract variations.
- Coordinate pricing inputs across software, services, managed services, and third-party vendors.
- Prepare pricing models and commercial summaries for internal approval processes.
- Ensure deals progress through established governance frameworks and approval thresholds.
Contract Support & Negotiation
- Support commercial negotiations in collaboration with Sales and Legal.
- Assist in reviewing and structuring customer and vendor agreements in line with company policy.
- Ensure key commercial terms are clearly understood by relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility of contractual obligations and variations.
- Identify opportunities to improve contract administration and approval workflows.
Financial & Forecasting Support
- Provide financial interpretation of contracts to support margin visibility and revenue planning.
- Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes in partnership with Corporate Finance.
- Support monthly financial reviews through accurate commercial data inputs.
- Ensure relevant commercial data is accurately maintained in CRM/ERP systems.
Risk & Compliance
- Identify commercial and contractual risks and escalate where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and Canadian regulatory requirements.
- Support audit and governance requirements related to commercial contracts.

Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial management, contract management, finance, or a related field within technology, SaaS, or healthcare IT.
- Exposure to customer contract negotiation and pricing support.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a complex business environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Law or related discipline preferred.
