Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role is vital in upholding the high standards of cleanliness that our organization prides itself on. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness of designated areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners regularly
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are maintained consistently
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while working independently or as part of a team
Requirements
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, and performing repetitive motions
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
- Good communication skills and reliability are essential
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, which may include evenings or weekends depending on the assignment
- Listens to and takes direction from Team Leader
- Provide detailed quality cleaning experience to our clients
- Performs cleaning tasks outlined in our cleaning packages and looks for opportunities to fulfill the allotted time as scheduled per job
- Has a good working knowledge of company Policies and Guidelines
- Reports and communicates with clients and team; responds to team chat and understands job notes before commencing work on below applications:
- Uses Email, Zen Maid, WhatsApp and Mobile phone to engage with company and team members
- Cleaners must be able to have reliable transportation to travel within our service areas which include Chilliwack/ Agassiz/ Harrison Hot Springs
- Clocks in and out of Zen Maid for accurate tracking of work time
- Ensures job site is secured and locked up when leaving - alarm set and windows/ doors locked, lights off - client should be made aware when leaving
- Weekly maintenance of vacuum: washing filters and cleaning thoroughly
- Attends team meeting
- Responsible for ensuring all supplies, equipment and materials are ready and working for the work day

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.50-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
