We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
• Transport a variety of cargo types, including refrigerated trailers and freight loads, ensuring secure and damage-free delivery
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each journey
• Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries, adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and load & unload operations
• Proficiency in operating automatic transmission trucks and familiarity with various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to truck driving and cargo securement
• Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Excellent navigation skills and the ability to plan efficient delivery routes
• Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
