About the Role
RGS Transport Ltd. is looking for experienced, safety-first Class 1 Professional Drivers to join our team for long-haul routes across Canada and the United States. If you are a road professional who takes pride in securing cargo properly and navigating cross-border logistics with ease, we want to hear from you.
At RGS, we value reliability and safety above all else. You will be operating well-maintained equipment and hauling a variety of commodities on flatbed and step-deck trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Border Operations: Safely transport freight between Canada and the USA, ensuring all DOT regulations and border crossing protocols are followed.
- Cargo Securement: Expertly tarp, chain, and strap various flat deck loads to ensure 100% safety and damage-free delivery.
- Equipment Care: Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Report maintenance needs immediately to dispatch.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Devices (ELD), bills of lading, and custom documentation.
- Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of RGS Transport Ltd. at all pickup and delivery points.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 years of verifiable Class 1 driving experience, specifically with Flat Deck operations.
- License: Valid Class 1 (or AZ) Driver's License with a clean commercial abstract.
- Cross-Border Ready: Must have a valid Passport (FAST Card preferred) and be legally eligible to enter the United States.
- Safety Compliance: Must be able to pass a DOT-standard pre-employment drug and alcohol test and participate in random testing pools.
- Skills: Strong understanding of load securement standards and mountain driving experience.
