You as a Civil (Ground Engineering) Manager will:
- Work with project teams to develop constructible, cost-effective solutions in the area of civil groundworks systems which can fit the project schedule and constraints
- Work with design teams to engineer solutions based on applicable Codes, Standards, and best practices
- Engage with consultants, sub-trades, suppliers, and clients to address all aspects of engineered solutions
- Support estimating and scheduling teams to provide cost and timeline
- Develop solution from conception to commissioning of the project to manage project risks in the area of Civil (Ground Engineering) which includes but not limited to:
- Support of excavation (caisson walls, sheet piles, pile/lagging, D-wall, shotcrete walls)
- Shallow foundations, deep foundations (caissons, driven piles, micro-piles, helical piles)
- Top-down construction, bathtub construction, tunneling and micro-tunneling
- Underpinning, ground improvement (jet grouting, aggregate piers, vibratory compaction)
- Slope stabilization, dewatering, excavation, utility support, frost protection, and waterproofing
Is this the right role for you?
You have:
- A Bachelor in Civil/Structural Engineering with around 5 years experience in relevant fields
- A P.Eng. designation or you are working towards becoming a professional engineer
- A solid understanding of engineering principles in the area of structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering
- A fast learner with strong analytical skills to evaluate, compare and select ground engineering systems
- A leader with “Can-Do” attitude, well-organized, with ability to manage projects and teams
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with ability to interact to a wide range of people including consultants, sub-contractors, trades, project managers, and clients
