Civil Engineering Technologist
Job Description
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have skill sets geared toward municipal engineering. They will be responsible for drafting the designs provided by our Engineer. This person will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and be willing to learn from our leadership team and eventually take on a larger role as we grow. The successful candidate will be in the field on occasion to review site conditions and eventually oversee construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project design specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within the urban development industry. Candidates must be proficient in English.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Prepare schematics, system designs, and technical drawings for various civil projects.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure adherence to plans and safety regulations.
- Assist in construction management, inspection, and quality assurance processes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members verbally and/or in writing through emails.
- Be organized and cognizant of deadlines
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction inspection procedures, system design, civil engineering knowledge as it pertains to subdivision servicing and lot grading
- Demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
