Psych (Contractor) Location: Peel Region Job Function: Government Services Status: Independent Contract/Affiliate Provider The Opportunity: In collaboration with PeelCAS, we are seeking a clinically licensed Psychologist to conduct psycho-educational assessments and psychological assessments for school-aged children/youth (6 to 18 years old) within Peel Region. Position Description: Conduct Psycho-educational or Mental Health Assessments exclusively or combined to help assess for placement stability or determine type of treatment or care Assist with access to community and government services Provide culturally competent services to clients of diverse and ethno-racial backgrounds Manage referrals in person by private practice in the Peel Region or on-site at a TELUS Health office in Brampton or Mississauga Qualifications required: A Master’s or Doctoral level degree in Psychology or it’s equivalent Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) approved to work with children and adolescents Provision of psychological consultations to include assessment of personality and emotional functioning, intellectual, cognitive and academic levels Professional Liability Insurance required Knowledge of, and clinical experience working with mental health within a pediatric population, in an integrated clinical/research environment Office space in Peel Region or willingness to travel on-site to a TELUS Health EFAP office Where permitted by law, company employees must be fully immunized to access a TELUS Health office or customer premises.
