City of Grande Prairie – Chief Strategy Officer
Reporting directly to the City Manager (CAO), the Chief Strategy Officer is responsible for leading the Strategy, Legislative, Communications, Marketing, Economic Development, and Intergovernmental Affairs team. We believe in our city and are looking for a broadly experienced leader to elevate our external brand to our residents, investors, or other governments. This role brings together responsibility for building external relationships with the strategy and process of legislative and executive services required to support the organization in delivering on Council’s ambitious Strategic Plan.
The Chief Strategy Officer plays a pivotal role in the City’s Corporate Leadership Team. This position blends expertise in strategy, legislation, marketing, and communications, while leveraging strong political acumen. These combined elements will define the Chief Strategy Officer’s role and shape the responsibilities of this office within the City’s organizational structure.
