Experience:

5 years or more

Tasks

1. Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
2. Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
3. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
4. Project cash flow and financing requirements
5. Estimate pre-contract costs
6. Advise on tendering procedures
7. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
8. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
9. Computer and technology knowledge:
   • Estimating packages
   • MS Project
   • MS Excel
   • MS Word
   • MS PowerPoint
