About The Role:

The Chief Estimator reports directly to the Ontario Pre-Construction Director and will have an in-depth knowledge of conceptual estimating, budgeting, tendering, proposal submission, and construction methodology. The Chief Estimator will have oversight of the buildings, large projects and transit estimating teams while being mentored by the Director to further develop their leadership skills and approach to pursuit activities.

As a Chief Estimator at Graham you will:

  1. Be responsible for bidding and pre-construction estimating and the financial results in partnership with the Director
  2. Complete project scope of work reviews to ensure completeness of estimates
  3. Identify and develop constructability requirements for orders of magnitude and high-level budgeting
  4. Propose and approve project risk and cost mitigation
  5. Prepare and coordinate estimates as required
  6. Compile and track analytics relating to project estimating pursuits


Qualifications/experience:

Completion of a University (Bachelor) program involving acquisition of an advanced understanding of complex concepts and procedures

20 years of combined field and estimating experience with senior estimating (Estimating Manager) experience of at least 5 years with a medium-to-large General Contractor

Leadership responsibility related to ICI related projects


Successful experience in leading $100+ million projects and managing and mentoring of an estimating team

Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team

Thorough understanding and proficiency in design-build, IPD and Construction Management is an asset
