We are currently seeking a professional and compassionate Care Aide to support a client requiring Peritoneal Dialysis assistance. This role is ideal for someone who values safety, attention to detail, and truly making a difference in a client's daily life.

Duties

• Greet and assist patients or residents upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
• Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently
• Assist with medication administration under supervision and according to protocols
• Support patient care activities such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and hygiene assistance
• Document patient information meticulously in accordance with healthcare regulations
• Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure safety during transfers or repositioning
• Support nursing staff with routine tasks including vital signs monitoring and basic caregiving duties
• Help coordinate activities that promote patient comfort, safety, and dignity
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and assist with infection control protocols

Experience

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Support toileting needs, continence care, and incontinence management
• Experience in caregiving roles involving medication administration and patient support
• Provide safe mobility assistance, including transfers, repositioning, and ambulation support
• Assist with hair care, and skin care routines
• Monitor and report changes in the client's physical, emotional, or mental condition
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and daily tasks
• Ensure client comfort, dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
• Maintain a clean and safe environment during care
• Follow individualized care plans and document services provided

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Valid BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move freely
• Minimum 2 years caregiving/home care experience
• Health Care Assistant registration preferred
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
