Our rapidly growing cardiology department is seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time or full-time Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dynamic team. As part of Medpoint's multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, specialists, kinesiologists, dietitians, and nutritionists, the RCT will play a key role in assessing clients.
What your day will look like:
路 Performing all cardiac testing techniques including electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, exercise stress testing, and Holter fittings in compliance with CSCT guidelines.
路 Scanning, monitoring, and analyzing Holters;
路 Completing administrative duties to assist with clinic flow;
路 Ensuring all quality control assessments are performed as required;
路 Taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices;
路 Following procedures for proper equipment maintenance while ensuring they are completed in accordance with department standards;
路 Applying knowledge of the components and function of cardiac monitoring devices;
路 Analyzing recordings as they relate to patient symptoms and medications;
路 Identifying and reporting on conditions requiring physician attention;
路 Maintaining a database file of patient information, events, and monitoring periods and transferring all data to Medpoint's EMR system;
路 Participating in meetings as required; and
路 Completing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
路 Completion of a Cardiovascular Technology diploma recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists
路 Active and in good standing with (or eligible for) membership with the CSCT or OSCT.
路 Holds current First Aid & CPR certification.

What we are looking for:
You must demonstrate mature judgement, maintain patient confidentiality, work independently, and be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team environment. We are also looking for someone comfortable working on computers and EMR software, able to multi-task, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. You must have professional communication skills and be comfortable providing empathetic telephone interactions with patients, and in-office with physicians and coworkers.

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
