Business Development Representative | North GTA | Industrial & Architectural Metals

The Opportunity

A premier North American distributor of specialty architectural and industrial metals is modernizing its sales strategy — shifting from reactive account management to proactive, performance-driven growth. We are seeking a high-impact “hunter” to drive expansion across the North GTA, uncovering opportunities and leading strategic industry conversations.

The Role

This is a data-driven, outbound-focused position targeting high-growth manufacturing and construction corridors. You will move beyond transactional selling to build long-term partnerships with architects, manufacturers, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive New Business: Execute disciplined outbound prospecting and market research to identify opportunities in manufacturing and construction.
  • Reactivate Accounts: Re-engage dormant clients through needs discovery and tailored solution alignment.
  • Leverage Project Intelligence: Use LinkedIn and project databases to map decision-makers on major infrastructure and architectural builds.
  • Collaborate Internally: Partner with account managers and the order desk to ensure seamless execution and client experience.

Who You Are

  • 1–5 years in B2B sales or business development (industrial, construction, or metals experience preferred).
  • A true hunter mindset — resilient, disciplined in follow-up, and energized by outbound activity.
  • A modern operator who uses data and research to identify buying triggers and gain competitive advantage.
  • Competitive, coachable, and motivated by performance (athletic background is a strong asset).
