Business Development Representative


The Business Development Specialist’s role is to drive new business opportunities for all product lines by responding to outbound campaigns. The BDS will work cooperatively with inside and outside sales teams to accurately set expectations and schedule follow-up actions or appointments. This position plays an integral role in increasing Quadient’s brand recognition and creating awareness for our full suite of products and solutions. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Generate interest in Quadient’s products and services by executing outbound call campaigns as well as responding to outbound inquiries. Understand the prospect’s business and communicate compelling solutions that address their needs.

  • Deliver Quadient’s value proposition with conviction, instilling a sense of confidence in our ability to deliver results.

  • Qualify interest and secure leads and appointments for all sales channels.

  • Meet the minimum standard for department metrics, including but not limited to daily call activity, lead generation, and conversion rates.



  • Accurately update and maintain the CRM with call activity and detailed notes. 

  • Manage time effectively to meet personal goals.

  • Work with team members and other functional areas when necessary.

  • Perform other duties as required.



  • Education:

  • Post-secondary school education or a minimum of three years of experience in a business development or sales environment.

  • Work experience/Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in French and English, together with the ability to negotiate and influence.



  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently. 

  • A team player is able to contribute to the ongoing development of the program.

  • Proven problem-solving skills with a sound understanding of business culture.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and experience working in a CRM environment.
