Overview
An experienced Business Continuity Management (BCM) Specialist is required to support Operational Resilience initiatives within Canada Operations. This role is responsible for the hands-on execution of the full BCM lifecycle, including development and maintenance of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), and facilitation of testing activities.
The successful candidate will operate independently, partnering with business stakeholders to translate continuity standards into practical, executable recovery plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate end-to-end BCM lifecycle activities for assigned business processes
- Develop, review, and update BIAs and aligned BCPs
- Lead BCM testing exercises (simulation, tabletop, alternate site, notification)
- Analyze testing results and implement plan enhancements
- Maintain BCM documentation and testing evidence within GRC systems
- Provide guidance and coaching to plan and process owners
- Monitor trigger events and ensure timely updates to continuity documentation
- Support adoption of enhanced BCM and operational resilience standards
Must-Have Experience
- 3–5+ years of hands-on BCM experience
- Strong BIA facilitation and BCP development expertise
- Experience leading structured BCM testing exercises
- Ability to manage multiple BCM activities independently
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Excellent documentation discipline and analytical capability
Nice to Have
- Exposure to regulatory operational resilience frameworks
- Experience working with GRC/BCM tools
- Industry certification (e.g., ABCP, MBCI)
