Job Title: Analyst, Finance
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Finance Analyst where you will engage with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements. You will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving system issues, while developing strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals.
- Identify and resolve systems issues.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
- Develop strategies for improving or further leveraging existing systems.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to support purchasing efforts.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems.
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for addressing existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems.
- Develop and configure reports to improve financial reporting and analysis.
- Create and maintain BI reports, including managing and maintaining Oracle BI, Microsoft PowerBi, and other reporting tools.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems.
- Design and build reporting using proprietary tools in third-party solutions.
- Review query performance and optimize where required.
- Assess and amend any errors in a timely fashion.
- Provide status reports as required.
- Follow proper change management processes when performing any changes to solutions.
- Work with and assist project teams on implementation or upgrades of new and existing business solutions.
Essential Skills
- Must Have 5+ years of experience with Reports customization in Oracle based ERPs like Oracle Fusion/ NetSuite/ JD Edwards.
- Proficiency in Oracle Risk Management and Oracle Fusion.
- Experience with PowerBi, SharePoint, and PMP certification.
- Experience/ Proficiency with SQL
- Good understanding of AP, AR & GL modules
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in ERP Implementation.
- PMP Certification.
Work Environment
The position offers a flexible working environment with a hybrid model requiring three days in the office, with the possibility of five days. Overtime may be required, and some travel is possible. The role offers opportunities for potential permanent placement based on performance and business needs, and provides experience on a global scale.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Vaughan, ON.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
