The Business Analyst will act as a driver of improved efficiency and productivity across the organization. You will be responsible for understanding the needs of assigned business units, with a particular focus on accounting. You will lead internal stakeholders through exercises in gathering requirements, defining current gaps and opportunities, designing processes, and defining technical scope for system implementations and software integrations. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, an expert communicator, and a top-notch problem solver. This role is a part of the Technology department, reporting to the Director of Digital Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze business practices and identify areas of process & system improvement across the organization
- Serve as an expert in technical business processes, promoting increased efficiency on multiple levels
- Ensure positive results by measuring the impact of implemented process & system solutions in the organization
- Support the Technology Project Manager in planning & implementing digital transformation initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (IR, Accounting, HR, Operations) to develop & maintain process documentation in a collaborative fashion
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or computer science
- Proficiency in technical writing
- High proficiency in Microsoft Visio & similar
- 5+ years of experience in system analytics & implementation
- Proficiency in SQL & Database Management
- Proven track record of implementing successful solutions to business challenges
- Experience developing formal business & system process documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into meaningful terms
- Experience with ERP implementation is a strong asset
- Experience in accounting is a strong asset
