We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various destinations while ensuring a positive experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including children and seniors. This a job that leaves extra time to be at home instead of stuck in an office. You can enjoy your home, family or endeavor to make extra money on charters, shuttling ect.
Duties
- Safely operate a bus or other vehicle according to established routes and schedules.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, particularly those with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any delays.
- Handle any issues that arise during transit with professionalism and courtesy.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and passenger care.
Skills
- Commercial driving experience is essential; candidates must possess the appropriate licensing for bus operation.
- Previous experience working with children or in senior care settings is a plus, enhancing the ability to cater to specific passenger needs.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for performing basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relay important information clearly and effectively.
