About the Opportunity
Our client in the real estate sector is seeking a skilled Building Operator who takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing commercial office buildings. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative and service-oriented team supporting a stationary portfolio that plays a meaningful role in the tenant experience.
You will work closely with property managers, contractors, and tenants to ensure building systems run smoothly and issues are resolved quickly. Your Responsibilities
- In this role, you will perform daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
- You will monitor and optimize building automation systems to support energy efficiency.
- You will conduct regular building inspections and take proactive steps to resolve issues.
- You will coordinate with contractors and vendors to complete maintenance and repair work.
- You will maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and operational activities.
- You will participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours needs across the portfolio.
- You will provide attentive customer service to tenants, helping maintain a positive and reliable environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive building operations experience in commercial environments, ideally office buildings
- Experience with building automation systems is an asset
- Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication abilities and comfort working both independently and within a team
