Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Building Condition Assessor located in Markham, ON. The Building Condition Assessor will perform detailed assessments of existing building systems, including building envelope, interior finishes, site and mechanical/electrical components, to evaluate their condition and recommend repair or replacement options. Responsibilities include site inspections, preparing building condition reports, conducting reserve fund studies, and collaborating with the project team. The role requires ensuring compliance with quality control standards and providing professional guidance to clients on building science best practices.

Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in building science, including roof and building envelope systems
Strong skills in conducting site inspections and preparing detailed assessment reports
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate problem-solving expertise
Education in Building Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Driver license and clean record
Advanced English language communication skills
Experience with Asset Planner software is preferred
Proficiency in software tools relevant to assessments, and reporting is an asset
1 to 3 years experience is favourable
