Lounsbury Heavy-Duty Truck Centre in Moncton is currently seeking a Licensed or Apprentice Body Shop Technician to join our team.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of body repair processes and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities:
  • Review the damage report and estimates of repair cost, and plan work to be performed.
  • Repair and replace front-end components, body components, doors, frame, and underbody components.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and other defects using blocks and hammers.
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents,s and seams.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills using wrenches and a cutting torch, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • Perform wheel alignment and adjustments.
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.
  • Accurate completion of work orders and timecards.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a three- to four-year motor unit body repair apprenticeship program
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
