Since 1982, La Rose Specialty Foods Inc. (www.larosebakery.com (http://www.larosebakery.com/) ) in Milton has been serving our community and surrounding areas with freshly baked from scratch breads, pastries, cookies and cakes as well as offering full service deli counter, hot table for lunch, catering services, espresso bar, selection of cheeses from around the world, fresh produce and specialty grocery items. We are currently hiring for a Baker Assistant – Night Shift to join our team in Milton. Hours of work are: 11:00pm to 6:00/7:00am, five days/week (including weekends). Rate of pay is $20 - $25/hour (will depend of experience). In this role, the successful candidate: * will take pride in producing high quality bread products; * is eager to learn; * will follow La Rose standards and guidelines when baking; * is a dedicated team member What You Will Do: * Measure and prepare ingredients (scaling) for different bread products; * Responsible for the preparation (mixers & ovens) and stocking of the bread department; * Finishing and packaging bread (scoring, cooling etc.) * Responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department; * Ensure your work area, tools and supplies, are organized and sanitary; * Verify that all batches are produced during your shift; * Performs other duties as required. Qualifications: * Possess 3 years baking experience (preferably in a retail environment); * Flexibility to work weekends/nights; * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; * Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills; * Perform basic mathematical functions; * Exceptional attendance record; * Lifting of products up to 75lbs.
