Datta and Tayefi Architects Ltd is a subsidiary of Mosaic Holding Corporation. The Architecture Manager will play a critical role in leading the architecture team, overseeing the design of a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, and governmental projects. This position demands an individual with at least 20 years of experience in the architecture field, with a strong focus on design excellence, leadership, and client management. The ideal candidate will have significant experience navigating governmental procedures to finalize permits and approvals for projects. Business development skills are essential for acquiring new clients and sustaining relationships with existing clients.


Key Responsibilities


Design Leadership

  • Lead and manage the architectural design process for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, and governmental buildings.
  • Ensure the delivery of creative, innovative, and functional designs that meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the development of design concepts and final presentations, ensuring high-quality and aesthetically appealing outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure design intent is maintained through all phases of the project.


Project Management and Delivery

  • Manage and oversee all stages of architectural project delivery, from initial concept to final approval and construction.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.
  • Navigate governmental procedures, securing necessary permits, approvals, and compliance for all projects, especially for governmental and institutional buildings.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.


Client Acquisition and Business Development

  • Actively engage in business development to acquire new clients and ensure the firm’s portfolio continues to grow.
  • Maintain and build strong, lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Develop strategies to secure repeat business and new opportunities within the commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, and governmental sectors.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.


Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor the current architecture team, ensuring a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging professional development and providing guidance to junior team members.
  • Recruit and retain top talent for the architectural department, building a diverse and highly skilled team.
  • Establish departmental goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.


Governmental and Regulatory Procedures

  • Ensure all architectural projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of all necessary documents for permits, zoning, and other governmental approvals.
  • Act as the point of contact for local and national authorities, ensuring timely processing of all required permits and approvals.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in architecture, with extensive experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, and governmental buildings.
  • Proven expertise in leading architectural design teams and delivering high-quality design solutions.
  • Strong experience navigating governmental and regulatory procedures for permits and approvals.
  • Proven ability in business development and client management, with a track record of acquiring and sustaining client relationships.
  • Extensive experience in all phases of the architectural design process, from conceptualization through to project completion.
  • Proficient in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, among others.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
  • Strong project management skills, with a keen understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
