The Data Analyst works with customers,carriers, and internal employees to analyze and identify cost savingopportunities for customers. This position will beresponsible for… Manage data gatheringfor customers’ benchmark key performance metrics. Create a strategicapproach to carrier bids through lane, mode, and service balancing (Bid team)by performing the following tasks: Scorecard and performance tracking,transportation dashboard, on-going analysis of data. Determine the bestmode, carrier, and service for the customer, resulting in customer savings byproviding the analysis and metrics for transportation bids.

Use professionaljudgment to assess the impact of decisions/actions on the customer and theCompany which would be approved by both the customer and the person’s leader. Act as an internaltechnical resource for role specific applications. Analyze large amountsof data and then recommend broad based innovative improvement initiatives forcustomer(s). Reporting and analyzingon an ad hoc basis for the customer.

Develop customerpresentations showing data trends and possible solutions to the customer. Collaborate with the objective of agreeing tothe most effective and profitable solution for the customer, carrier, and theCompany. Developing standardoperating procedures based on the direction from manager. Qualifications You might be a greatfit if….

Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics,Engineering, Accounting/Finance or related field preferred and 5 years ofrelevant experience. In lieu of degree, highschool diploma or GED and 4-6 years of relevant experience. Proficientwith technology, specifically Microsoft applications such as Access and Excel. Experiencewith SQL is preferred.

Abilityto work in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines. Strongorganizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Stronginterpersonal skills with the ability to work with internal and externalcustomers. Experienceor knowledge in transportation, logistics, parcel shipping or freight pay ispreferred.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements With orwithout accommodation: Ability to follow policies andprocedures. Ability to read, write and interpretinformation. Ability to add, subtract, multiply anddivide. Ability to use hands to finger, handle,or feel.
