Role Description
Reporting to the Director, Airfield Services, the Fire Chief oversees a team of ARFF personnel, manages emergency response readiness, coordinates training, and ensures the highest level of safety for airfield operations. This role combines operational leadership with strategic planning to maintain readiness for aircraft‑related emergencies, structural firefighting, and other incidents across the site.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive firefighting experience, with at least 1 year as Chief or 3 years as Deputy or Captain.
- Experience in ARFF operations at an airport, military base, or aviation training facility would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage emergency response teams in high‑stress situations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Emergency Management or Equivalent experience.
