CAE is a global leader in training for civil aviation and defence and security. We are the prime contractor for the NATO Flying Training in Canada’s (NFTC) program and the Future Air Crew Training (FACT) program in Moose Jaw, SK, which produces qualified military pilots for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and other global defence customers. The Aircraft Technician is responsible for conducting all servicing and maintenance tasks.
Schedule
Monday to Friday – Day shift (7 AM – 3 PM) and Evening shift (3 PM – 11 PM). Minimum 40 hours per week.

The Role We Are Offering You
- Inspects, maintains, repairs, and tests aircraft systems.
- Remove and replace line‑replaceable units and components.
- Specialty work in maintenance shops as required.
- Interpret technical publications and diagrams.
- Maintain tools and equipment required to perform primary duties.
- Order aircraft spare parts and materials.
- Conduct flight line servicing operations.
- Debrief Team Lead as required.
- Carry out workplace inspections and clean‑ups.
- Fill position of Desk Controller.
Education
- Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma (or equivalence – Canadian Forces Avionics Technician).
- Possession of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering S License.
Experience
- No less than 4 years of aircraft‑related experience.
- Minimum 3 years of 1st and 2nd line maintenance activities.
- Experience in life‑cycle support activities an asset.
Candidate Must
- Have proven experience as a team player.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Be able to work shifts; some travel required.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Have knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices.
- Must be able to obtain a Reliability security clearance from the Government of Canada.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada, either as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit.
Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re‑transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
