The AME will primarily be employed on the Hawker 800XP, but not limited to any other company aircraft type.Relocation Assistance Available: We offer an incentive for candidates who need to relocate for this position, ensuring a smooth transition to join our team.What you will do:Act as a base AME primarily to aHawker 800XP aircraft at Campbell River airportPlay an important role to keep private aircraft flying by conducting aircraft maintenance in accordance with all requirements and regulationsDismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and overhaulTroubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective actionRemove, install, and functionally test aircraft componentsCertify that all technical records are originated and retained for all inspections and maintenance functionsComplete records of work done to sustain an accurate record systemPerform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelinesEnsure that only approved equipment and materials are utilized and deliver and maintain a high standard of workmanshipWork in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company-wide, maintenance, and health & safety policies and proceduresMay be assigned to other operational areas, based on business requirementsWhat you bring:A valid Canadian AME M2 licenseMinimum five years’ experience as an M2 licensed AMEHawker 800XP maintenance certification to be considered an assetExperience in aircraft periodic inspections and heavy inspectionsAbility to read, understand and interpret technical publications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical drawings and blueprintsDiagnostic skills requiring sound knowledge of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, aircraft structures and basic applied mechanicsAbility to perform duties such as disassembling aircraft systems, removal of defective components and installing replacement parts, components and structuresSelf-motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, professional, ethical and committed to excellenceStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong capacity to learn, adapt & work under pressure to meet tight deadlinesMust qualify for a RAIC and AVOP passesPossession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstractAbility to work on a flexible schedule to accommodate aircraft departure and arrival times.Occasional travel may be required to support extended trips and out-of-base AOGsPhysical requirements include climbing into and under various aircraft; walking around, standing, and crouching, all for long periods of time.
