AI Engineering Internship (Vancouver BC, on-site)
Job Description
Superpilot is AI agent for commerce. We help some of the biggest brands in the world accelerate their marketing workflows, get discovered by AI Apps like ChatGPT & Gemini, and deliver superior shopper experiences.
The Role
This is an internship (paid, obviously!) open to talented new grads that want to work on the cutting edge of applied AI in commerce. You'll work directly with the founding team to ship features that enterprise retailers rely on every day. This is a high-ownership role where your technical decisions will shape Superpilot product architecture and deliver customer success. There is a track to a full-time engineering role after the initial internship.
You'll be working on-site with our founding team in Vancouver, BC (Metrotown area).
What You'll Do
Work on agentic frameworks for layout and theme generation
Contribute to Superpilot's architecture and SDLC to achieve high quality and precision of output
Ship production features early and often
Collaborate directly with customers (retailers and brands) to understand their needs
What We're Looking For
JavaScript expertise - You've built production applications in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks like React. You understand async patterns, can debug complex systems, and write code that other engineers enjoy working with.
AI/ML fluency - You've worked with LLMs beyond just API calls. Ideally you understand prompt engineering, RAG architectures, or have built AI-powered features. Bonus if you've thought about how AI search engines consume and cite content.
Full-stack instincts - You're comfortable moving between frontend, backend, and infrastructure. You don't need permission to fix something that's broken.
Startup pace - You've shipped in environments where speed matters. You know when to build it right and when to build it now.
Commerce or SEO background - Not required, but helpful. If you've worked on e-commerce platforms, marketing tech, or search optimization, you'll ramp faster.
