Acting Supervisor of Information Technology (1.0 FTE Temporary)
The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board's IT Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Acting Supervisor of Information Technology. Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, this position will be responsible for supervision of IT staff and their projects, strategic planning, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. The position will also perform high level functions of system administration to ensure the reliability, health, and security of the Board's technology infrastructure. Responsibilities include primary accountability of the design, deployment, and administration of networks, IT security systems, storage resources, virtual machines, databases, telecommunications, and other infrastructure assets. The successful candidate is expected to maintain open communication and foster positive working relationships with both the IT department and Board staff.
The preferred candidate will have expertise in a broad range of technologies, with specialization in networking, server and cloud infrastructure, and security best practices being a strong asset. This individual will possess demonstrated supervisory and project leadership experience, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will hold a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and/or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience, supplemented by relevant certifications and professional training. The potential candidate leads with a positive attitude, fosters strong team connections, and keeps communication open and collaborative, inspiring trust, engagement, and a motivated, high-performing IT team.

Salary Range= $79,309 - $100,466
