Assurance Home Care is an in-home care company focusing on high-end services for its client’s needs. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about what they do, understand, and respect the desire for independence while working closely with our clients. Our services include everything from companionship to housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, personal care and assistance with errands.
Job Type: Live-In
Job Summary:
The caregiver would live in with the client. The caregiver must be comfortable sleeping at the clients home.
The caregiver will provide various services for the client, most of which would provide personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to housekeeping, meal preparation and companionship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals that accommodate dietary preferences and requirements.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that stimulate cognitive function and promote emotional well-being.
- Monitor clients’ health and well-being, promptly reporting any changes to the care manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a warm and trusting relationship with the clients.
- Anticipate client needs and customize care to meet the client’s needs;
Qualifications :
- Minimum of three years of Caregiving experience
- Proven experience in caring for individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, particularly in a live-in setting.
- Must provide an up to date clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must provide an up to date TB Test or Chest X-Ray
- Ability to prepare and cook a variety of meals that meet dietary needs and preferences.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients in a friendly and supportive manner.
- Compassionate, patient, and able to handle challenging behaviors associated with Dementia.
- Display good emotional health and be physically fit to do some heavy lifting;
- Ability to treat clients with respect and dignity; to provide boundaries and to adapt to new situations;
Immunization Requirements:
It is required to provide documentation that you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine or proof of one dose and a signed commitment to receive a second dose within a specified timeframe.
