Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical equipment, as well as the ability to work in challenging weather conditions. The Snow Plow Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining clear roadways and pathways for the community.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow and other related equipment to clear snow from roads, parking lots, and walkways.
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing conditions to ensure timely snow removal.
- Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing filters, and ensuring all mechanical components are functioning properly.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for additional snow removal tasks as needed.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks during off-season, including irrigation, gardening, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked and equipment used during each shift.
Experience
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery or snow plow equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work long hours in adverse weather conditions while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
