The Diversity, and Inclusion Manager will play an integral role in building and enabling a diverse and highly engaged workforce and inclusive working culture through the oversight and project management of critical Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging initiatives. In addition, this position is responsible to analyze, design and deliver programs and projects company-wide, events and activities in support of DEIB initiatives as well as providing insights and recommendations related to trends, gaps, and measured outcomes. The DEIPM works closely and collaboratively with business stakeholders as well as in consultation with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Learning & Development.Key Responsibilities:Manage DEIB initiatives and project execution directly and in partnership with others.Develop detailed project maps for all short- and mid-term initiatives including activities, timelines, resources, and measurements.Collaborate cross-functionally within the HR Department and across other areas of the business to effectively implement strategies.Continuously communicate deadlines, requirements, and progress to key stakeholders.Develop processes, documentation, and communications in support of ongoing projects.Collect both quantitative and qualitative feedback to measure impact and optimize future efforts. Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and gaps to inform strategy and relevant projects.Acts as a project manager for medium to large projects or oversees portions of major or highly complex projects.Serve as the first point of contact for projects and programs you run.
Address and resolve requests, concerns, and inquiries.Provide thoughtful input and often develop communications targeted for employees.Implement recurring Diversity & Inclusion processes and identify and recommend process improvements.Collect, analyze and report on HR related data. Identify issues and make suggestions as appropriate.Help design and implement Diversity and Inclusion related HR programs and processes.Alert HR team members and/or clients to potential risks.Autonomously modify project steps to reflect group consensus.Participate in discussions within the business unit.Facilitate and support execution of internal events, workshops and programs in support of DEIB.Coordinate and collaborate across EBRGs, HR, Internal Communications and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordinated planning.Partner with stakeholders (ERG leaders, D&I Committee, PR/CSR, etc.) to build an annual calendar of events.Ensure core communication channels are updated appropriately and effectively, including the DEIB site on GFL’s intranet.Responsible for the execution and processing of all invoices, SOWs, and contracts related to DEIB initiatives.Manages, tracks and reports on use of DEIB budget.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree, Behavioral Studies, Human Resources, or related field preferred or equivalent amount of education and work experience.2+ years of relative professional DEI, HR, or other program management experience; with full or partial focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:program and project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple workstreams.Track record of exceeding diversity and inclusion related commitments, goals and objectives.Able to take multiple and complex inputs and concepts and distill into simple, relevant and executable strategies that are clearly defined and drive results.Demonstrated success in using data/insights to develop and evolve DEI strategies and programs.Experience working with employee resource groups preferred.Ability to collaborate and influence across all functions and levels in the organization.Strong communication skills with the ability to tell stories, deliver compelling messages and clearly articulate DEIBs.Knowledge of principles, methods and tools related to DEI.#GFLTalentWe thank you for your interest.
